2 J- 2 August 31: Bishkek City Tour & Grand Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games

After breakfast, enjoy a morning city tour of Bishkek. Optionally (for extra cost): In the evening, prepare for one of the most spectacular cultural events in the world – the Grand Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games 2026. Highlights include: • Hundreds of horse riders thundering across the arena • Traditional dances and songs representing nomadic peoples of Central Asia • Torch processions and storytelling scenes from the Epic of Manas • Parade of international delegations from over 40 countries Experience a unique celebration bridging ancient steppe traditions and modern cultural pride. 3 J-3 September 1: Bishkek – Burana Tower – Son Kul Lake

After breakfast, travel east to the Burana Tower, an 11th-century Silk Road minaret surrounded by mysterious stone warriors (“balbals”). Continue to Son Kul Lake (3,016 m), a high-altitude alpine lake where nomadic shepherds still live in yurts and graze their herds. Enjoy breathtaking views, tranquility, and authentic Kyrgyz hospitality. 4 J-4 September 2: Son Kul – Kochkor – Oimo Tash (South Shore of Issyk Kul)

Descend from Son Kul to the legendary Issyk Kul Lake, the “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan.” Arrive at Oimo Tash Yurt Camp, located on the southern shore with stunning views of the Tian Shan mountains. Travel east to the Karkyra Valley, an alpine plateau framed by the Tian Shan peaks. Known for green meadows, wildflowers, and birch groves, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. After breakfast, depart from Cholpon Ata and drive back to Bishkek via the scenic Boom Gorge, where the Chu River winds between dramatic cliffs. Along the way, enjoy the striking landscapes of the Kyrgyz countryside. Upon arrival in Bishkek, you will be treated to a special farewell dinner featuring traditional Kyrgyz cuisine, accompanied by live folk performances.   • Attention! Due to the lack of information about actual process of the World Nomad Games that will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026, we hold the right to modify the program as new circumstances appear. Government, as the main organizing body, do not report on the progress of work and do not announce any information ahead, so the program is preliminary and will be adjusted to the opening and closing ceremony time, entrance tickets, schedule of all sport competitions and cultural performances.
  • Clothing and Equipment:
  • You can bring all the necessary items with you. Please note that in spring and autumn, the temperature in Bishkek can reach +30°C, while in the mountains, the temperature can drop to 0°C in bad weather.
  • Recommendations (for summer):

  • • Plenty of T-shirts and other base layers (it’s better to bring something with long sleeves to avoid sunburn)
  • • Hat (keep in mind that the sun can be strong)

  • • Comfortable shoes (heavy boots are not necessary) for city walks
